After the revelation that Ledger had been taking Ambien/StilNox, this ‘joke’ appeared on PleaseGodNo today. It seems that the phrase “too soon?” no longer seems to apply. Not that I can imagine any time being right for this kind of joke.

heath ledger’s death is all part of a viral campaign for the new batman movie. promotions for the dark knight have included coordinates to places in america to meet up for special gatherings for the film and defaced websites and the usual ARP related games. this is no different. when the film is released, the joker’s biggest prank of all will be revealed and he will indeed laugh at the fools who believed this.
That’s right – we’re all the subject of this “joke”in which a young father dies leaving a daughter and a grieving family behind (whose public statement is really CONVINCING – wow, a family of actors…)and it’s all to sell a film. Twankunt.

Hey, shame on you by being offended by Hollywood bullshit garbage… Maybe next time try being concerned about the genocide in Dafur or this country’s criminal war on country that didn’t attack us. These are the things that MATTER in the real world. A drug addict barely successful gay porn star that happens to have a daughter is not the saddest thing I’ve ever heard of.
Don’t get me wrong, I love all people… But please also understand that I deal with pain by making fun of it. So haha… cancer. Haha… Overdose… HAha … celebrities losing control.
It’s not that I don’t care, I just have trouble thinking there aren’t a lot more important and worthy people than a guy who was rich and also only kinda famous eating too many Ambien. Sorry.

It ridiculous to overlook one death only to “care” about hundreds off thousands. For that, people can give attention to something minor, like how scummy you are, and remain concerned about larger issues, so I do not even understand the reason for the comment. To inaccurately cast shame?
I don’t know anything about hypernation, except that their pretty distasteful, as well, and by the looks of “pwn3d” hopefully not a day over 15… But death is death. Ledger probably gave money to charity aiding one of Africa’s wretched situations, as most celebrities do, and he obviously cared about political issues, to go from some “unserious heart throb” to “gay porn actor” willfully, in the prime of homosexual controversy. But again the point is that to make fun of other people’s tragedies is an awful thing to do, and at least on the internet that’s what it seems you do Tim.
